Location

Bordered on the north by the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, Montana is an important link between western Canada and the western United States. Montanans and Canadians are good friends and neighbors. Rivers, wildlife and traffic move freely over the border that separates us. Montana and Alberta share an international park called Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. The Montana portion is Glacier National Park, revered by many as the "Crown of the Continent.'' Idaho borders the west side of Montana and the Dakotas border the east. Directly south is Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Three of the five entrances to Yellowstone are in Montana.
