Lone Mountain is framed in your living room window. A free ski shuttle bus stops right across the street almost every 30 minutes takes you right to the base of Big Sky Resort or do as the locals do, just walk to the base area as it is less than a mile. From there you can access Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin, the biggest combined mountain ski resort in the USA. This offers you nearly 5,300 acres of skiable terrain and 4350 uncrowded vertical feet. Between them, the two resorts operate 23 lifts. This kitchen is well lit with can lights and under-cabinet lighting and fully equipped with modern appliances. A full-sized stacked Matag washer/dryer will save you having to go 9 miles down to the meadow to do your laundry. For a small fee you can have access to swimming, hot tubs, and fitness center at the nearby Huntley Lodge. They also have free movies and wireless Internet throughout. The Mountain, Moonlight Basin and Meadow Village offer a wide variety of fine dining and activities. The location is very convenient. The Big Sky area is an incredible place in all seasons. In the winter there is alpine and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and a "MUST SEE" is Yellowstone National Park by guided snowcoach. In the summer this area is well known for its fishing, hiking, rafting/kayaking, horseback riding, biking, golfing, and side trips to nearby Yellowstone National Park. Great shopping, Museum of the Rockies, and other cultural events are found only 50 miles to the north in Bozeman, Montana.
